All my expectations were far exceeded. Luxury, family friendly, tropical, peaceful.. the kind of place we didn’t want to leave. 🌸 Day 1 of our Florida Keys trip! Once we flew in 🌸 Day 1 of our Florida Keys trip! Once we flew in we immediately hit up Duval St. to do a little sight seeing. The old homes are so beautiful and there is so much history! While we do have palm trees on the Florida Panhandle, I’ve never seen a coconut tree with actual coconuts on it! First time seeing bananas growing in Florida as well! I was a little too excited about finding these 😅 After we walked around for a bit it was definitely getting hot! Our plane landed around 11am but by this time it was getting close to 1. We decided to grab our photo at the southernmost point before heading to lunch 🥗 A little tip for you when trying to take family photos- set up your tripod and let the camera just roll! Screenshot your favorite image and now you have a lot more photo options 🥰 If you are ever in Key West you HAVE to try a pastry(or two) at @lagrignote! They had so many gluten free options which almost never happens. Everything is made fresh in house as well! This lemon pistachio cake was heavenly 🙏 even Ryan (hubby) obsessed over it! We also had lunch at @lagrignote and it was soooo amazing! Yes they also have gluten free bread 🥖 After lunch we started heading towards Islamorada which is where we ended up staying (more on that later). The water was so beautiful every second of the 2 hour drive! ✨ We needed some caffeine ☕️ so we stopped at @mymorningjoint along the way. I got the Ube coffee with Almond milk. I loved how it matched my outfit ✨ After little peaches and I got a cat nap we finally arrived at our resort. It was tucked away so well that we drove right past it! It was soooo much prettier than I could have imagined. The landscaping was gorgeous 🌴 This was going to be our view for the next 6 days and I couldn’t believe i
